When you use a war base
Your war base is the layout that defends you in Clan Wars and in the Clan War Leagues. It is a separate layout from the one you play with day to day, and it only matters during a war attack. Because there are no resources at stake, a war base is not trying to protect loot — it is trying to cost the attacker stars. An attacker earns one star for destroying your Town Hall, one for reaching 50% destruction, and a third for taking the whole base, so where the Town Hall sits and how hard the last few percent are to reach is what a war layout is really about.
How the copy link works
Press the copy button on any layout and the link opens Clash of Clans and loads that arrangement into your war base editor. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and your home village layout is left untouched. Buildings you have not unlocked yet simply are not placed, which leaves gaps you can fill in as you upgrade.
Choosing one for TH15
Layouts here are ordered by community rating, weighted so that a base with two or three votes cannot jump ahead of one that has held a good score across many. You can also sort the full TH15 feed by how often a layout has been copied in the last seven days, which is a better signal of what people are actually using right now. Whichever you pick, treat it as a starting point: copy it, then adjust traps and clan castle placement to suit how your own wars tend to go.
